Mentoring and Coaching

Mentoring and Coaching are used to develop valuable and high potential individuals that have the ability to impact the organisation and therefore create the required change towards achieving the company's Vision or Mission.


The purpose of Mentorship is to speed up the learning of a person towards having the competency to manage the current complexity of his or her job. In most cases this development is towards a Management role. The process of Mentoring involves Teaching, Guiding, Counselling and Challenging. It is focused on providing a role model and/or organisational wisdom.

The Mentor is usually an expert or more senior person and the relationship takes the form of expert guidance based on experience. It can be 1 on 1 or 1 to many and may be documented.


The purpose of Coaching is to enable the development of a person towards having the ability to create a better future through Inspiration, Vision and Personal Mastery. In most cases this development is towards a Leadership role.

The process of Coaching involves personal growth and development through New Insights, Improved Personal Mastery and Self Correction.

The Coach can be of equal standing to that of the learner and the relationship is more focused on providing questions than answers. Normally this is a 1 to 1 relationship and is very confidential and personal.
